What is an amorphous core?

Amorphous cores are magnetic components processed with amorphous materials. According to the material of the amorphous ribbon used, it can be divided into iron-based amorphous, cobalt-based amorphous and so on. According to the shape of the material, it can be divided into strip-type magnetic core and powder-type magnetic core. The saturation magnetic density of amorphous features is much higher than that of ordinary ferrite and powder magnetic cores, but as the frequency increases, the magnetic permeability will drop rapidly, and it is generally used in the frequency band of tens of K to hundreds of K. Amorphous magnetic cores are widely used parts in many industries. Amorphous magnetic cores are divided into two types, one is an air-slit amorphous magnetic core, and the other is a non-air-slit amorphous magnetic core.

1. Product performance of air gap amorphous core:
1. High initial permeability. High product accuracy and small error (ratio difference and angular difference)
2. High saturation magnetic induction intensity and wide detection current range.
3. Low coercivity, more stable product performance, more sensitive to weak current induction.
4. Good thermal stability. Small change in permeability and error thermal shock
5. High Curie temperature, excellent temperature characteristics.
6. Long-term working temperature: -50~130℃
Application fields of air gap amorphous core:
Mainly used in the production of miniature precision current transformers, power current transformers, Hall sensors, switching current transformers, power transmitters and so on.
Terminals are used in:
1. Electric energy meters, power meters, ammeters, electrical measuring equipment and other instrumentation fields.
2. Various types of power current transformers in power transmission and distribution power monitoring systems.
3. Leakage protection, relay protection, servo motor protection, fire monitoring, etc.
4. Current and voltage data sampling, etc.

2. Amorphous core without air gap
