Amorphous core is noisier than conventional silicon steel sheet

Because the magnetostriction of the amorphous core is larger than that of the conventional silicon steel sheet, its vibration and noise are larger than that of the conventional silicon steel sheet transformer. When the magnetic density increases by 0.02T, the product noise increases by about 1dB. In the same situation, the no-load loss and excitation power of a set of 15-piece fan-shaped lapped transformer can be reduced by 5-8% compared with a set of 30-piece in-line lapped amorphous alloy transformer, and the noise of the finished product can be reduced by about 2dB on average.

Methods to reduce the noise of amorphous core dry-type transformers:

 The silicone rubber sheet is used to fill around the clamp and the iron core to reduce vibration and noise.
 After installing the vibration reduction mounting base, the noise energy of the amorphous alloy dry-type transformer will be 1~3dB, which has a better noise reduction effect.
